About this service
Nagarik's 12 September, 06:33 NPT report and DC Nepal's late 11 September report say a 1,050-metre track from Syafrubesi to the Chilime tunnel entrance is complete. Heavy equipment has reached the worksite after nine controlled blasts through the rocky approach. This improves access for rescue machinery, not public traffic. Internal tunnel breakthrough was still expected for 12 or 13 September, not confirmed. The ministry's separately dated updates say rescue operations continue across affected hydropower sites.
