Emergency water supply and repair needed for Bidur water systems
Bidur and nearby Nuwakot water-supply areas
15 October 2026 update: Nepal Red Cross Society reports that piped water in Battar, Bidur, is available for about one hour every few days after flood damage. With IFRC support, NRCS is drilling a borewell to provide a safe drinking-water source. The post does not report that the borewell is operational or that full supply has been restored. Current water quantities and a public relief-coordination contact are not stated. Earlier context: A 6 September report described seven pumps serving about 500 Battar households and four tankers serving Bidur and Battar. Those figures are historical, not a new confirmation of present service.
