Rasuwa helicopters reserved for search, rescue and relief
Overview
Rasuwa administration's Notice 11, dated 11 September, asks residents not to request the district's dedicated helicopters for purposes other than search, rescue and relief distribution while ground links remain damaged. This adds a district-specific instruction to the earlier national advice against non-essential helicopter requests. It does not announce a public booking service, flight schedule or guaranteed evacuation. Coordinate urgent needs through the authorities.

Post-flood illness monitoring: WHO update, 9 September
Overview
WHO's 9 September 2026 update says health teams were reporting illness each day after the floods. Teams checked a rise in fever-with-rash reports on 4 September in Bidur. They did not find an outbreak of a common fever-and-rash illness in that investigation. Health advice, prevention and monitoring continued. This is not an all-clear for other diseases or places. It gives no new daily case totals. The earlier HEOC counts were for 6 September, not today. The WHO page gives a date, but no publication time.

E. coli reported in five Bidur water samples; use treated water
Overview
The Himalayan Times reported on 7 September that five of 15 water samples from Bidur holding centres tested positive for E. coli. The district health office said the affected sources were treated and advised drinking purified water. This updates the earlier water-risk advice; it does not confirm cholera or that every source is now safe. Continue water treatment and hygiene precautions.
