LPG supply: buy for actual needs, avoid hoarding
Overview
A 13 September Nepal News report quotes Nepal Oil Corporation asking households to buy LPG only for actual needs and avoid hoarding, which can leave others short. This is not proof that every dealer has stock. Separately, 9 September reporting described a temporary same-price exchange between cylinder brands in Kathmandu Valley. Confirm the supplier's current arrangement; monthly supply totals do not show shop stock.

E. coli reported in five Bidur water samples; use treated water
Overview
The Himalayan Times reported on 7 September that five of 15 water samples from Bidur holding centres tested positive for E. coli. The district health office said the affected sources were treated and advised drinking purified water. This updates the earlier water-risk advice; it does not confirm cholera or that every source is now safe. Continue water treatment and hygiene precautions.
